Woodlawn will be the site of 25 new homes in another sign of the benefits of living near U. of C.
Just south of U. of C.’s Law School, construction will begin on a mixture of single families, townhomes and condominium on the 6100 and 6200 blocks of Greenwood. Architectural firm Studio Dwell – known for its North Side projects – will bring a contemporary look to the development.
KMW Communities bought the land parcels from the city of Chicago at $461,500 and is expected to finalize the purchase in July. The homes will range from $300,000 for the condos to $600,000 for the larger 4-bedroom houses.
